The SAP UI
Development Kit for HTML5 is a JavaScript OpenAjax compliant library for building rich internet applications. It fully supports SAP’s product standards as well as RIA-like client-side features. Apart of this, it is extensible regarding custom controls, application services, theming, or custom branding. UI5 is lightweight and easy to consume, so that you can combine it easily with 3rd-party JS libraries to design an HTML page and integrate it into various application frameworks or server platforms.

Interesting analysis of the belief in the SAP market that if you want to go mobile with an SAP-based solution, you have to use the SAP Sybase products.
The reality is that there are many other options, including writing applications in HTML5 or using the Netweaver Portal on Device.
Terry Stepien, president of SAP Sybase’s iAnywhere unit, said enterprises will “mostly using HTML 5″ in two years to deliver business software to various devices.
